We are also very happy to announce our New Acro & Musical Theatre Teacher Stephanie Tait!

Acro & Musical Theatre

Stephanie has been in the dance world since the age of 3 and is trained in all disciplines of dance including Acrobatics, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, and Musical Theatre. Other disciplines are Rhythmic gymnastics, Artistic gymnastics, Circus Arts, and Cheerleading. 

Throughout the years as a competitive dancer, Stephanie has competed throughout Canada and the US winning awards .  In 2005 Stephanie was given the ITDC Dance Convention's 'Most Promising Dancer Award' placing 3rd overall and was a dancer in a production choreographed & performed by Ryan Rankine from So You Think You Can Dance US at the event.

Stephanie has had the opportunity through Much Music’s show Electric Circus to dance for various artists such as I.D. currently known as Jesse Labelle, B4-4, just to name a few and performed at Paramount Canada’s Wonderland. 

Stephanie was a part of various organizations as a dancer and cheerleader for The Toronto Argonauts Sr. Blue Thunder Cheerleading Dance Team 2007, Jr. Argo Cheerleading Dance Team for 3 seasons, Toronto Raptors Jr. Dance Pak, and OHL Mississauga Sur-Locs Hockey Team and performed in dance at events such as TIFF (Toronto International Film Fest), Youth Day, and special events. 

Stephanie is currently completing her Dance Teacher Training in all styles, attending dance conventions and intensives throughout the year and is looking forward to being a part of The Doreen Hayes School of Dancing this season!

We are very happy to announce a new  addition to our teaching staff 

Miss Taiya Hoehner-McEwen
Taiya has been dancing since she was 7 years old and has been competing since she was 9. She spent 11 years dancing at Just 4 Kicks Academy of Dance in Gravenhurst performing in disciplines such as jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical and musical theatre.   

In 2013, she was able to compete with the Canadian National Jazz and Modern team in Poland where she won a bronze medal out of 27 countries.  She currently attends the University of Guelph-Humber in Etobicoke where she is working toward a degree in Media Studies.  

Taiya is very excited to be joining the Doreen Hayes School of Dancing in September!
