The Passing of Miss Hayes

Wednesday, March 30, 2016

It is with a heavy heart that I inform everyone that as Miss Hayes was reaching not only her 84th birthday but the close of her dance school at the end of it's 60 year run, her heart just gave out.

On Saturday March 26, Miss Hayes passed away suddenly at the Humber River Hospital while listening to some streaming Frank Sinatra. She was surrounded by myself, her loving grandaughter Kyley Duncan & her husband Tom O'Rourke, her youngest grandson Jonn Ryane and her ever faithful, loyal friend and assistant Lawrence Williams.

She is being cremated this week in her black sequin dress and her matching earrings with me in attendance through the whole process so she knows I am taking care of her remains. The funeral arrangements have just been made by myself and where her memorial page will be posted with more information.

In the meantime, please be assured that, although I will be back and forth running my own dance business up north, I will be the operations manager for the studio while Lawrence Williams will continue to manage it.  We are going forward with her 60th dance recital.

Please contact me if you have any questions and thank you for your patience as we are all going through our own transitions at this delicate time.
